Rosa Anna La Rocca, PhD in Urban and Regional Planning, university professor at Polytechnic School and Basic Sciences, University of Naples Federico II DICEA. Her research activities refer to the analysis of phenomena that can change urban organization and they focus on the study of three main relationships: tourism and town planning; land use and mobility, innovation technologies and urban transformations. She is the author/co-author of more than 110 scientific publications. Since 2007 she is associate editor of TeMA-Journal of Land Use, Mobility and Environment.

Ida Zingariello, BIM expert architect, is Research Fellow at the Department of Civil, Building and Environmental Engineering of the University of Naples Federico II. In 2014, she obtained the Master’s degree ‘Expert in design in emerging technologies’ at the National Institute of Architecture and in 2018 the Master’s degree ‘BIM-Building Information Modeling’ at the ‘Sapienza’ University of Rome. An expert in Digital Architecture, she has collaborated with design offices in Italy and Europe exploring the boundaries between real and virtual architecture.

Romano Fistola, he is a university professor at the University of Naples Federico II. In his teaching and training courses, he adopts systemic logic and complexity theory for the reading and interpretation of the urban phenomenon. For over twenty years, he has been dealing with the relationship between new technologies and the governance of sustainable city development. An expert in Geographical Information Systems, urban smartness, Urban Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Urban Planning and applications of augmented and mixed reality for the prefiguration of changes in the city, he has published over 150 contributions, including scientific articles and books, for national and international editions.

Mauro Antonio Di Vito is a volcanologist, First Researcher, in service at the Osservatorio Vesuviano since 1993. He has coordinated and participated in numerous researches and projects on Italian volcanoes and some Ethiopian volcanoes in the framework of national and international funding (National Volcanology Group, MIUR, the Department of Civil Protection, the European Community, Fondazione con il Sud). The research covered the fields of geology of volcanic and perivolcanic areas, physical volcanology, stratigraphy, sedimentology, structural geology, petrology, geomorphology and geo-archaeology. The research was aimed at defining the volcanic and deformational history of different volcanic areas, eruptive and pre-eruptive dynamics, magma chamber emptying processes and eruptive and depositional processes, the impact of certain volcanic eruptions, and the reconstruction of interactions between human communities, including ancient ones, and volcanic activity. Much research has been finalised and used for medium and long-term volcanic hazard assessments and for the preparation of hazard maps. For many years, he was responsible for the Historical Office of the Osservatorio Vesuviano. He is the author of about 85 scientific articles in international journals and more than 100 in national journals. H-index 32, citations about 5000. Director of the Naples Osservatorio Vesuviano section of the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia from 1 August 2022.

Filomena Ornella Amore is a palaeontologist and university professor in the Department of Science and Technology (DST) at the University of Sannio, where she teaches Paleontology and Conservation and Valorization of Paleontological Heritage. In her academic and research activities, she integrates advanced technologies to enhance the preservation and promotion of paleontological resources. With over twenty years of experience, she has focused on the study of paleoclimatic changes through the analysis of coccolith associations. Her scholarly contributions include approximately 100 publications, consisting of scientific articles and communications at both national and international conferences.

Carmen Argenio is a geologist specialized in the field of micropaleontology and biostratigraphy. She currently holds the position of research fellow at the Department of Sciences and Technologies of the University of Sannio in Benevento. In 2022, she obtained her PhD with a thesis focused on paleoclimatic variations, reconstructed through the study of calcareous nannoplankton. Her research activities were partially carried out abroad within the Erasmus+ Mobility and Erasmus Extra EU Mobility Programs. Her work also extends to the protection and valorization of geopaleontological heritage, combining her passion for scientific research with the preservation of natural heritage.

Maria Rosaria Senatore is a geologist and university professor. She teaches "Stratigraphic Geology and Sedimentology" in the Degree Course in Natural, Geological and Environmental Sciences and teaches "Conservation and enhancement of the geological heritage" in the Master's Degree Course in Natural Sciences. Her main research interests are the application of classical geology, stratigraphy and Sedimentology. Her expertise is: geological scenery reconstruction characterization and definition of catastrophic events by means of physical stratigraphy, georadar stratigraphy and sedimentology at the chronological position of several archaeological settlements and Quaternary stratigraphy. Scientific coordinator of the PON Project “Geoarchaeo innovative methodologies, tools and services for the development of the cultural heritage of the Geo – Archaeo – Sites”. She has scientific collaboration with the Department of Earth Science, University of Rome “Sapienza”, with the Laboratory of Sedimentology, Department of the Earth and Ocean Dynamic, University of Barcelona, with the Institute of Geological Sciences, Jagiellonian University of Kraków, with the Institute of the Marine Science, Italian National Research Council in Naples, with the National Museum of Matera.
